The difference between a rock and a biological hard place: epibionts in the rocky intertidal

Published:

We compared the species composition and prevalence of the epibiotic community on different species of molluscan shells to those on neighboring rock at three sites and two tidal heights per site on San Juan Island, Washington, USA.

Local ancestry analysis reveals genomic convergence in extremophile fishes

Published:

We used whole-genome resequencing to investigate genomic convergence in fishes (Poecilia spp.) that have repeatedly colonized hydrogen sulfide (H2S)-rich environments in Mexico.

Expression analyses of cave mollies (Poecilia mexicana) reveal key genes involved in the early evolution of eye regression

Published:

We used transcriptomics to analyze early-stage eye regression in cavefish populatons of Poecilia mexicana that are exposed to low/no light.
